International Tour Management Association (ITMA) Profile

  Today, each government is paying more attention to exchange and cooperate in the development experience of world advanced cities through activities of international conventions etc. with the globalization. Under the vigorous supports of embassies to China, International Tour Management Association (ITMA) was registered and set up in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) in response to the requirement of the representatives from the tourism industry of each country. ITMA is made up of relative international and domestic authoritative experts, which is a non-profit international tourism organisation with indefinite duration.    Adhering to the idea of “Combination, Innovation, Promotion and Win-win” as well as the tenet of “Reach the world, Serve the world”, ITMA is devoted to optimizing and allocating tourism resources, providing international cooperation opportunities for enterprises, enhancing market competitiveness of Chinese tourism to form many tourism industrial chains with sustainable development, offering global and diversified promotional service to the members via powerful media advantages at the same time.    ITMA will closely cooperate with members with innovative spirit and satisfy their increasing demands. In the meanwhile, ITMA will form the pattern of boosting economy with culture and promoting development with environment, explore the effective mode of sustainable developmenttourism, as well as enlarge and promote the combination and cooperation of tourism industry at home and abroad.

The 17th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan

August 29, 2008, the Republic of Uzbekistan Embassy to China held a reception to celebrate the 17th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan ambassador to China Mr. Salakhitdinov Alisher presided over the reception. More than 200 people attended the celebration including diplomatic envoys from other countries and representatives from various world organization . Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Li Jinzhang attended the reception and gave a speech. The leader of ITMA,Mr.Zhang Yong also attended the reception. At the end of the celebration, Uzbekistans Embassy first secretary Mr. Tursunov Batir accompanied Mr.Zhang Yong to Uzbekistan arts exhibits which included handicrafts, paintings and Uzbekistan style historic building photography.
